In English, there are three main ways to show that something belongs to someone: The Apostrophe 's, Possessive Adjectives, and Possessive Pronouns.

⚠️ Careful: In Spanish, you often use "de" to show possession (la casa de Maria). In English, we almost never use "of" for people. We use the apostrophe 's instead (Maria's house).
